Yummy Cherry Walnut Cookies....

I Love Baking.  Cookies and Cakes are some of my passions.  This Christmas I was not able to be with my 3 grown children and there families so I baked for friends and people who were going to be alone for the holiday season. While playing with my recipes I came up with this cookie and I have to tell you that this was the favorite of all that has tryed it.  I look forward to making a batch for my Grand daughter Lily....

Instructions:

step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray pan  with vegetable pan spray.

step 2

In large bowl, beat butter and sugar with electric mixer at medium speed until well blended. Beat in egg and extracts; mix well. Combine flour and salt; add to butter mixture. Beat until well blended. add cherries and walnuts and beat untill well blended.

step 3

Roll cookie dough out on a powdered sugar surface and then cut with cookie cutter's ...I use a small biscuit cutter...

step 4

Bake 9-10 minutes or until light brown around edges.

step 5

Cool in pan 2 minutes.Take off of cookie sheet and let rest on cooling racks....
